  • Analogue wedding photography is the art of photographing your wedding on real film rather than a digital camera. I use genuine 35mm film to capture moments with beautiful grain, rich colour and a softness that feels timeless and deeply nostalgic. Because every frame is intentional, analogue photography encourages a slower, more thoughtful way of seeing. The result is a collection of images that feel honest, tactile and emotionally rich—like treasured memories you've held onto for years. Alongside film, I also photograph your day digitally. This means you receive the nostalgic beauty of analogue photography while having the confidence that no fleeting moment is missed, allowing me to tell your story with both intention and completeness.

  • You will see me on your wedding day with a few different cameras as I shoot on both 35mm and medium format

  • You can choose film photography as a standalone, or an add-on included in our digital package for the best of both worlds

  • For standalone, approximately 200-300 images depending on the hours of coverage, as an add-on generally 150 images

  • Absolutely, we offer digital and analogue photography packages, as well all analogue with a Super 8 film

  • Yes. Many couples choose to pair analogue photography with Super 8 wedding films to create a beautifully nostalgic record of their day. The stillness of film photography complements the movement and emotion of Super 8, creating a collection that feels timeless and deeply personal. You can learn more about my Super 8 wedding films here

  • It takes approximately 3-4 weeks to receive your film / analogue photographs. We send the rolls to a lab to develop the images before curating it as a gallery to send to you.

  • Based in Sydney, Breathing Light offers analogue photography throughout Sydney and we travel within Australia and depending on season we are happy to chat about your overseas wedding!
